Since October 7, 2023, antisemitism has increased dramatically around the world, leaving many Jewish people feeling isolated, vulnerable, and afraid. In this presentation, Thom Berkowitz will explore the roots of antisemitism, what Scripture teaches about the Jewish people, and how Christians can respond with biblical conviction, compassion, and courage.

Drawing from decades of Bible teaching and his unique perspective as a Jewish believer in Jesus, Thom will help attendees better understand this growing issue and the Church's responsibility in confronting hatred and standing with the Jewish community.

About the Speaker

Thom Berkowitz is a Jewish believer in Jesus as the promised Messiah and has devoted his life to studying and teaching God's Word. For more than 25 years, Thom served as a Teaching Director for Community Bible Study. In 2023, he and his wife, Marcia, founded The Messianic Journey, a ministry dedicated to helping people understand Scripture through the historical and cultural context in which it was written.

Lunch & Learn is a convenient way to gain practical insight from experienced professionals on topics such as leadership, mental health, relationships, personal finance, and personal growth. Each session features a 45-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the speaker.

Hosted by Wooddale Church's Pastoral Care and Outreach Ministries, Lunch & Learn events are held most Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM in Room 105 at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. These events are free and open to the public.
